Maverick County adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate.
The tax rate will effectively be raised by 8.29% and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $41.60.
NEWS FLASH: Maverick County County Commissioner Pct.2 Rosy Cantu informed that the proposed sewer system project was approved during a meeting with the County Commissioners, Maverick County Judge David Saucedo, the Department of Water Works and state engineer. The sewer system project, which will benefit 27 families in the Santos Circle area and Remington Street, includes installation and connection with no costs to the families. At a press conference, Maverick County Judge David Saucedo informed of the County Commissioners Court and the community’s unease caused by President Donald Trump’s repeated threats to close the borders.
